Community Art Reach exists to make arts education as natural and accessible as learning to talk. We believe every child should have the chance to learn art by doing it—side by side with those already fluent. Through mentorship with professional artists and hands-on workshops, we create spaces where young people create fearlessly.

Founded by conductor and educator Peter van Reesema, one of the youngest musicians ever to lead a Broadway orchestra, Community Art Reach is built on the belief that creativity grows best through collaboration. Peter made his conducting debut at 24 with Hamilton and has since worked with world-class artists across music, theatre, dance, and film. His vision is simple: connect young people directly with working professionals so they can learn by doing, grow with confidence, and see themselves reflected in the arts.
